Some Very Sad News.

As many of you will know, Denis R was diagnosed with a brain tumour last Autumn & underwent treatment to reduce the pressure on his brain & slow down the growth.

Four weeks ago it became impossible for Josie to cope & Denis was moved into a care home here in Watton, who gave him all the care & attention to make his final weeks as comfortable as possible.

Sadly, Denis passed away peacefully early this morning (Sat. 19th) not far short of his 81st. birthday.

I had personally known Denis for around 50 years as he was a member of my previous M.E. Club down in Surrey, Sutton MEC., before we both independently moved to Norfolk in the late nineties.

I shall miss him terribly as I’m sure we all will; if you look on the web site at the photos page top left, you will see Denis on his 4” Foster, the pride & joy of his recent life. I’m sure this is the way he would like us to remember him!

R.I.P.

We will keep you informed about a funeral date & location as soon as these are established.

Update 19thMay 2012.

Hello all, we now have uploaded the video from the invite day to our youtube channel (brandonmes, be sure to add it to your favourites) A permanent link to our channel has been added to the events page. We are grateful David H who gave up his spare time to film and edit the video. Follow the link below to go to the video; the other link is for the excellent video made by our visitors from Kings Lynn. Due to the number of updates we have had this week, I have decided to delay the next part of John M's exellent hit n miss engine construction and the next part of Triggers Broom, for a couple of weeks.

Once again we are very greatfull to Kev B for Pic's and words, Roy T and Jeff M provided many pictures. I have learnt not to walk about gassing all day and make sure I take some Pictures!!! The video David H took is taking longer to edit than planed and will be along in a few days, "Stay Tuned" as they say!

Update 6thMay 2012.

Kev and co have been down the track finishing off the patio area and several other projects. Read all about it on the Track reports page "The second quarter" (the page was getting very long so I have divided it up) Many thanks to all who helped yesterday. Lets hope the weather improves for our club day!

Update 3rdMay 2012.

I have just added the minutes for the April meeting to the member area, and a link for a young student by the name of chris in New york, look at the bottom of the links page. The invite day at the Ipswich has been added to the forthcoming events page.

A good meeting was had last night at the RAM, Thomas M gave a very good presentation about constructing his electric loco, a very profesional effort made more impressive by his tender age!
